2017
Ross and I moved to Costa Rica for 3 months, living simply and working remotely. It was our first real taste of location freedom.
2016
Launched my first online wellness program and made my first $5K online. I realized I could create freedom and impact by helping others feel better.
2014
Left my 9-5 and enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition while working two jobs. I knew I was meant for more—and I took the first step toward it. I became a Certified Health Coach + launched my blog: Peace Love & Kale.

My journey into wellness didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a desire to heal my skin from the inside out. I had no idea that one detox would set me on a decade-long path of deep healing, entrepreneurship, and personal transformation. I went from juggling two jobs and studying nutrition at night, to building a thriving online business rooted in holistic health, detox, and aligned living.
The path has had pivots, pain, and big revelations, but it’s brought me here, and I’m grateful to now guide others who are walking their own healing journey!

2018 - 2019
Fall 2019: The year everything changed
In November of 2019, I received the phone call that changed the trajectory of my life. I was in the car with my 8 month old baby boy, Cruz, and I heard the words nobody ever wants to hear:
“I’m sorry. It’s cancer.”
I received a metastatic thyroid cancer diagnosis. And right in that moment, I declared that my story would be one of HEALING.
The recommendation was immediate surgery and radiation. But something inside me whispered: not yet. Let’s look deeper.
So I began searching for root‑cause healing.
I dove DEEP. I read books, blogs, and researched everywhere to find what other alternatives I had to support my healing. That is when I found an integrative cancer clinic in Florida. Although I didn’t stay there long due to my an unpleasant experience,, one of the best things that came out of visiting that center was seeing a Biological Dentist.
That is when I learned about one of the key contributors to my cancer diagnosis and the full-body healing work began.

While I was traveling back and forth to Mexico for treatments, I was also fully committed to healing at home. Every day, I followed a strict protocol designed to mirror what I was doing at Hope for Cancer:
- 64oz of raw cold-pressed juice daily
- Rebounding and gentle movement

- Prayer, meditation + mindset rituals

With time, my body began to respond. Slowly. Steadily. Powerfully.

After years of dedicated healing, I was cleared to have another baby. We welcomed our second son, Cash, a beautiful blessing in the middle of my healing. During that pregnancy, I experienced some progression of the cancer, and with full clarity and peace, I chose to move forward with a thyroidectomy. I continued to go to Hope4Cancer and follow the same non-toxic, integrative therapies that had supported me since the beginning.
I was healed and have continued to be for over 2.5 years.
Cancer healed me. It broke me open in the most profound way. It asked me to go deeper physically, emotionally, spiritually. It pushed me into the hardest, most honest work of my life. I found my voice. I healed old wounds. I cleansed not only my body, but also my patterns, my pace, my relationships, my beliefs. I found God. I found my truest self.
It wasn’t easy. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever walked through. But I wouldn’t take any of it back.

Because cancer brought me home to myself.
